Itinerary
After you finished your early breakfast you will start your today tour at 7am which will be greeted by your local English tour guide and driver and head to the ticket office to get your temple visit pass. You will enjoy your first temple exploring today name TA PHROM (grand pa PHROM) temple also known as jungle temple or TA PHROM .It was built at the end of 12th CE dedicated to king’s mother by Khmer greatest King JAYA VARAMAN VII who embarked on a massive work program of construction and public infrastructure’s task. The stele commemorating the foundation give a date of 1186 A.D with its original name RAJAVIHAR (the Royal shrine) and also mentioned that the site was home to 12640 people (including 18 high priests and 612 dancers). This temple was listed into one of the main temple because of it natural state. The trees growing out of ruins are the most distinctive feature. Originally this temple was decorated with thousands of diamonds and gem stones.
Next stop will be BAYON which built the same king to be his state temple and his tomb. BAYON remains one of the most enigmatic temples of the Angkor group with the architectural scale and composition, exude grandness in every aspect. Its elements juxtapose each other to create balance and harmony. The inner and the outer gallery which depicted about the history, the battle and the daily life of ancient Khmer people. We carry on our journey to Angkor Wat which is the grandest religious structure on early covers the area of 200 hectares and is the symbol of Cambodia. Constructed in 1113 AD dedicated to Vishnu one the principle gods is Hindu religious and is still the holy religious site for the pilgrimages. The building has 5 towers symbolized the 5 peaks of cosmic mount Meru home of Hindu gods originally decorated will gold on the top. It was eight galleries depicting Hindu mythologies. In 1434 it was abandoned but took over by Buddhist monks in 16th they bought in thousand of Buddha statues, that was the time they called Angkor Wat (the city of the temple which original name is PARAMA Vishnu LOKA. During the recent war it was the refuged of people and it listed to UNESCO in 1992.
After lunch return to hotel relax freshen up ready for the evening Circus Phar PONLEOU SALAPAK circus. Is an NGO based in Battambang and was founded in 1994 by a refugee with a mission to provides artistic training to poor, young Cambodians. This NGO also provide formal education from elementary schools and programs performing. Visual and applied arts Leisure classes, and vocational training aid children and young adults to develop their activity communication and concentration skills and to access a sustainable artistic career whilst preserving and promoting Cambodian art and Culture.
